With 51 years of experience together with our customers we have acquired knowledge, built relationships with producers and suppliers and developed our organisation to be able to meet the high expectations of our customers.
Tingstad Papper was established in 1959. As the name indicates it started trading with paper. The first 10 years Tingstad mainly sold packaging and wrappings to stores. In the early 70s the company expanded and started distribution of disposable products for restaurants, hotels and grocery stores. That segment has grown strongly and Tingstad now has leading position within this area. Today Tingstad has a turnover of approximately 1 billion and we are just over 190 employees.
It is more important than ever for companies to take responsibility for the environment. For us that operate in an industry that uses the resources of nature the commitment to the environment is important, today, and in the future and it is an essential part of our development work. We encourage and prioritize the suppliers that work actively with these issues and that can supply us with environmentally friendly products. At Tingstads graphic studio, we provide advice on printing and the development of new products. We have great product knowledge and experience from long term relationships and substantial purchasing from several suppliers. Our experience and contacts with local manufacturers and more than 20 years experience in the United States and Asia gives us a strategic advantage over our competitors.
Tingstad is part of a European purchasing- and development organization, Pack Partners International, headquartered in
Eindhoven. This cooperation gives us a deeper knowledge and the volumes required to meet the demands of larger organizations.
It is well known trend that companies with a geographically diverse business choose to concentrate their purchasing to one distributor. Thanks to our modern warehouse and our logistics knowledge Tingstad has got the power to meet our customers’ needs for complete solutions for disposable products, office supplies, cleaning products and packaging and wrappings.
Tingstad has logistics knowledge that is unique within our industry. Our powerful logistics organisation makes it possible for us to offer our customers speedy and reliable deliveries. To ensure that we always improve our selection of products, our services and our company culture we are quality certified according to ISO9001:2000 (total quality) and ISO 14001:2004 (environmental). We got the first quality certification in 1995 and the first environmental in 1998.
Quality is measured regularly to ensure that we are making progress.
Our delivery guaranty includes all of Sweden, and promises that the deliveries will be made on the day which was agreed upon and include all ordered items. It should only take one day for our customers to get their products if they order before 11 am. Customers north of Gävle have to order two days ahead of the desired delivery day.
We offer and encourage all of our customers to shop online, and the amount of customers who use the internet to place their orders increases every day. If requested, we can offer our customers cooperation over data communications and EDI.
